Lake Hills Media is committed to understanding and respecting the clients request for software, by:
- Implementing a methodology that gives more control and feedback for the client,
- Keeping development costs low
- Delivering on time and under budget
The way Lake Hills Media accomplishes this task is by utilizing Agile techniques, more specifically creating software based off of the Scrum methodology. By utilizing Scrum techniques, we are able to keep the clients in the loop as development happens, allow clients to make changes when needed, and finally allow clients full control as to what features get implemented in targeted sprints.
We believe this sets us apart from the major consulting firms, because we keep it small, and keep the client aware of the development as it happens. Each Scrum sprint is targeted for specific requirements and features identified by the client, and delivered in a timely fashion, fully functional including any requested documentation.
Lake Hills Media keeps costs down by utilizing Scrum techniques. When we first engage a client, we determine at a high level what requirements / features are needed. From this backlog, we determine the amount of effort it will take to implement each feature. This allows us to estimate the time it will take to complete the project. From that time estimate, we will determine a cost per hour and inform the client that it could cost this much to implement all requested features. Utilizing Scrum, we can create sprints with a fixed cost, so clients can pick and choose what features they need without worrying about costs getting out of control.
